Class 4CP - Mrs Porter & Miss Brough

Homework

All homework will be set and collected on a Friday. Each Friday the children will be given a spelling activity and either a Maths or English activity. They will also receive a spelling list to learn which will be tested the following Friday. Results will be posted on the children’s Showbie account so you can see their results. Each week I would like the children to read at least 4 times if possible. In the children’s homework file is a section where reading can be recorded.

I appreciate the time you spend with your child completing these activities.

Mrs Porter.

Summer 2

The children had a lovely time at Walney Nature Reserve following their topic on Coasts. The children discussed how sand dunes were formed, found evidence of coastal erosion, went pond dipping and found different animal tracks. We had lots of fun in the sun! 🌞

The Stone Age

For our History topic this term we are studying The Stone Age. This week in Art we looked at different cave paintings and made some of our own. The children really enjoyed creating their own pictures using pastels, which will look lovely on our walls.

Stone Age Day
4CP enjoyed taking part in a Stone Age Day. The children had a great day baking bread, making shelters and jewellery.
Science
The children drew diagrams to show which bones they thought were in the human body.
