AUTUMN
Invasion Games
Year 6 have been working on invasion skills (attacking and defending). We have created games with set rules, adapted rules and point scoring. As a class, we have had to develop our listening and communication skills, in order to be successful! Over the term, we have become much better at explaining, discussing, collaborating and compromising when developing games in teams.
ART-Portraits
Our final art portraits. The students have studied portrait artists and Chila Kumari Singh Burman, who creates art installations using mixed-media. The students had a range of materials and techniques at their fingertips to create their masterpieces of self-representation. How amazing are their final pieces?
Writing in Year 6

In Year 6, we have been working hard on our English unit-The Barnabus Project. We have written a narrative and newspaper report! The students have developed new writing skills, stamina for longer pieces and have even said that they have enjoyed writing! Woohoo Year 6!

Electricity Workshop

We had an amazing day when we took part in an Electricity workshop.
During the session, we talked about safety and dangers in and around the home and outdoors.
The most exciting part was holding hands to make the light bulb glow!
After learning about the scientific names for the electrical circuit parts, we then followed a scientific plan in order to create a closed circuit to set off buzzers, dim bulbs, and power more than one thing! We were on fire!
LOVING OUR LEARNING!
Father John-Confirmation Lessons
Lessons with Father John ran over six weeks. Father John developed a programme of learning to teach specific stories from the Bible. The students were exceptionally engaged and enjoyed the role-play lessons the most. Father John made these special times reflective, linked the stories back to real time and the made it relevant, including the importance of our Christian Values in everyday life.
