Autumn Term

autumn-term

4B had an amazing time at the Westmorland County Show. They saw goats, sheep, pigs, cows, horses, alpacas, rabbits, dogs and birds of prey. We looked at different crafts, watched wooden sculptures being made and learnt about the countryside. Our display in the Learning for Life marquee looked brilliant and showcased our woodland artwork. It was a fabulous day out!

PE- Netball

We have been working on our footwork in PE as we learn to play netball.

King Charles

We visited the Town Hall to see King Charles grant the royal status to the Port of Barrow.

In music, we have been learning about body percussion. We tried to create the sound of a rain storm without using instruments.

Rivers sessions

Rachael from the South Cumbria Rivers Trust came in to teach us all about rivers and what healthy and unhealthy rivers look like.

Rivers Trip

Rachael took us to Dragley Beck in Ulverston to put out rivers learning to the test. We had a brilliant afternoon river dipping and investigating what creatures that live in the river.

DT- Adapting a recipe

In DT, we created biscuits after adapting a basic recipe to suit a specific target audience.

Harvest

4B did an amazing job leading our harvest celebration. They taught us all about the importance of farmers, reminded us not to waste food and included a lovely song and dance. Well done 4B!
